West Ham 1 3 Manchester City Erling Haaland Scores Another Hat Trick As Champions Maintain Perfect Start

West Ham 1-3 Manchester City: Erling Haaland scores another hat-trick as champions maintain perfect start

Haaland's triple takes his tally to nine goals in five games

Erling Haaland continued his sensational start to life at Manchester City with another hat-trick as the champions maintained their perfect start to the Premier League season with a 3-1 win at West Ham.

Haaland's goals

  • 20': Haaland opened the scoring with a close-range finish after being set up by Kevin De Bruyne.
  • 36': The Norwegian doubled City's lead with a stunning strike from outside the box.
  • 65': Haaland completed his hat-trick with a header from a Riyad Mahrez cross.

Despite being reduced to 10 men after the dismissal of Vladimir Coufal in the 58th minute, West Ham managed to pull a goal back through Michail Antonio in the 80th minute.

But Haaland's hat-trick was enough to secure all three points for City, who have now won their first five games of the season.

Haaland's performance was particularly impressive given that he was playing in place of the injured Julian Alvarez.

The Norwegian has now scored nine goals in five Premier League games for City, and he is the first player to score three hat-tricks in his first five games in the competition since Dixie Dean in 1927.

City's victory takes them to the top of the Premier League table, two points ahead of Arsenal and Brighton.

West Ham, meanwhile, remain in the bottom three after losing their first three games of the season.

Conclusion

Erling Haaland is proving to be an unstoppable force in the Premier League, and his hat-trick against West Ham was further evidence of his incredible talent.

Manchester City are now the clear favorites to win the title again this season, and Haaland will be key to their success.
