Dallas Mavericks Now Just Two Wins Away from NBA Finals
The Dallas Mavericks are headed to the Western Conference Finals after a thrilling Game 7 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Thursday night. The Mavs won 114-112 in a game that came down to the final seconds.
Luka Doncic led the way for the Mavericks with 36 points, 12 rebounds, and 8 assists. Kyrie Irving added 26 points, and Dorian Finney-Smith chipped in with 18 points. The Thunder were led by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who had 30 points and 7 assists.
The game was tied at 112 with just seconds remaining when Doncic drove to the basket and hit a layup to give the Mavericks the lead. Gilgeous-Alexander had a chance to tie the game with a three-pointer, but his shot missed, and the Mavericks held on for the win.
The Mavericks will now face the Golden State Warriors in the Western Conference Finals. The Warriors are the defending NBA champions and have won four of the last eight NBA titles.
The Western Conference Finals will begin on Tuesday, May 16th in Dallas. The series will be a best-of-seven format, with the first two games being played in Dallas.
