Roberto De Zerbi Exits Brighton After Successful Season

Head Coach Departs After Mutual Decision

Four-Year Deal Concluded After One Year

Roberto De Zerbi has announced his departure from Brighton Hove Albion after just one year in charge. The Italian coach joined the Premier League club in 2022 on a four-year deal, but has decided to move on after a successful season.

Brighton finished ninth in the Premier League under De Zerbi's leadership, their highest ever finish in the competition. The club also reached the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup, where they lost to Manchester United.

In a statement on Brighton's website, De Zerbi thanked the club and its fans for their support. He said: "I would like to thank Brighton and Hove Albion for the opportunity to coach this great club. I have enjoyed my time here immensely and I am proud of what we have achieved together."

"I believe that the club is now in a strong position to continue to progress and I wish them all the best for the future."

Brighton chairman Tony Bloom paid tribute to De Zerbi, saying: "Roberto has been an excellent head coach for Brighton and Hove Albion and we are grateful for his contribution to the club."

"He has helped us to achieve our highest ever Premier League finish and has also guided us to the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup. We wish him all the best for the future."

De Zerbi is now looking for a new club and is expected to be in high demand after his impressive work at Brighton.
